Grilled Sweet Peaches

Grilling fruit is a great way to make a quick and easy summer treat. Peaches are a great choice to grill and serve with ice cream on a hot summer day, here’s what you need:

Sweet Peaches Dessert - Goffle Brook Farms

  • 4 peaches, cut into halves and remove the pits. Or, 8 canned peach halves, make sure to drain them well.
  • Resealable plastic bag
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla
  • 1 cup of honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • Your choice of ice cream
  • 4 tablespoons of heated strawberry preserves (optional)

Grilling Your Peaches

Once you have all that ready, begin by placing the honey, cinnamon, and vanilla in the resealable bag. Then, put the peaches in and coat them. Refrigerate until you are ready to grill them. Heat your grill to medium heat, then place the peaches on the grill and cook each side for about 2 minutes. Make sure to save the honey sauce in the plastic bag.

Remove the peaches from the grill and if using strawberry preserves, spoon 1 tablespoon of preserves into the center of each peach ring. Then, drizzle the honey sauce on the peaches and serve with your favorite ice cream.

These make for an amazing summer treat, and there are many other fruits you can grill as well! Try this recipe with different fruits at this year’s Fourth of July cookouts. We hope you enjoy them!
