The staff of Goffle Brook Farms in Ridgewood N.J. love fall for many reasons, but playing with pumpkins is one of our favorite reasons! Coming in so many different shapes, sizes and colors, pumpkins are so versatile and can be carved, painted, used in cooking and as planters; making the creations endless in nature.

We have a larges and diverse selection of pumpkins for you to choose from at our pumpkin patch and within the farmer’s market/garden center. Many a smile can be seen and the joy of laughter heard in our pumpkin patch when the little ones come to help mom and dad pick a pumpkin. One of our most cherished memories was last year when this child was picking out his very first pumpkin ever on his first birthday!

Make a day out of shopping for pumpkins and autumn décor with a trip to our pumpkin patch and bring the kids and let the children visit the Petting Zoo for some educational Autumn fun.

Since Halloween is the second most popular holiday for decorating after Christmas, think outside the box and go beyond the traditional orange and black theme. Decorate with mums, grasses and millets and mix in some hay bales and corn stalks, and then place the pumpkins for that memorable and unmistakable touch of Halloween décor that will be the envy of the neighborhood.

What an excellent activity for the whole family to enjoy, spending the day outside in the warm fall sun, carving a pumpkin while sitting on a bale of straw, putting up scary Halloween decorations. Sure to put a smile on anybody’s face during these uncertain times.
