Spring Cleanups
Whoa! Did that winter fly by that fast? Was it because we were anticipating the snow and it never came? None the less, it was still icy cold, windy and at times a tad bit rainy. March has come in like a lamb so it’s time to pull out the rakes, brooms, and wheelbarrow, etc. and do the Spring clean up.
Now also is a good time to check out all of your gardening tools. If anything needs to be cleaned, oiled or replaced now is the time to do it. Power tools need to be checked. Nothing like being in the middle of a job and your power cord has split or blades need sharpening. Branches and sticks need to be picked up so your lawnmower won’t get snagged up when you start mowing and dull the cutting blade.
Leaves hide in the darndest of places; getting caught up in your shrubs, accumulating within the plant’s crown and piling up in the pathways and walkways, which also need to be cleaned and the debris blown out. Check your berms, has some of the mulch been washed or blown away? Replace with new mulch to give it a fresh look! (fetch yourself a coupon to print) Almost like putting new drapes up, right? With a bit of sprucing up, your yard will be ready for Spring in no time!!
