Celebrate Spring with Cool-Season Containers
Now that spring has officially sprung, it’s time to cultivate your green thumb and assemble some beautiful flower combinations for. Container gardens offer the perfect landscaping solution for both gardening experts and rookies alike. Container gardens will always be an essential component of our outdoor spaces; they’re versatile, practical, and add instant appeal to patios, decks, and porches.
Enjoying fresh air, basking in the sunshine and beautiful containers filled with cascading spring blooms is a sure sign warmer weather is on the horizon. Once nighttime temperatures remain above freezing, not dipping below, 30°F, you’re reading to plant.
So why not mix it up this spring – add some pizzazz to your pansies! There’s still a way to get those beautiful tulip and daffodil blooms even if you didn’t plant them in the fall. Just stop by our garden center to pick up already-blooming bulbs place them into your container for an instant pick me up. Choose plants that do double duty. Plant a mix of greens including spinach, kale, red and green lettuce and more. A container filled with spring greens will provide healthy salads while also brightening up the landscape. Add in pansies with their blooms for a fun touch of color and don’t forget that herbs will help to create texture.
We carry containers for spring, summer, fall, and winter, or any combination of seasons. Our designers create colorful, low-maintenance annual flower combinations that can bloom all summer. You choose the flowers and features, and we plant it for you. If you don’t have containers yet, you can come to the store and choose from our large selection of pottery. We carry a divers selection of unique and decorative pots and containers that are perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. Our pots come in a wide variety of colors, styles, sizes, and finishes.
Don’t forget to feed them. We recommend our Miracle-Gro Plant Spikes for no fuss feeding.
Spring Lawn Care
When it comes to Spring Lawn Care there’s good news and there’s bad news. First the bad news: if you neglect spring lawn care, you could end up paying for it the rest of the year.
Now the good news: Jonathan Green has introduced The New American Lawn Plan to all homeowners with lawns. The New American Lawn is a cutting-edge lawn care program that not only feeds the lawn, like every program on the market today, but, unlike all others, FEEDS THE SOIL! That’s right, the soil.
Healthy soil is the foundation for all great lawns. Your soil must be free of compaction, possess healthy microbial populations, and have the correct pH or your “great lawn” journey will not happen. Think about it. Would you plant your annuals and perennials in a poor quality potting soil? Of course not. So why not ensure that your grass is growing in quality soil, too?” The New American Lawn makes this happen!
